The end of 2013 Part 1 of 4 (Celebrating the New and Old)

Hello everyone. I am doing a 4 part blog series titled "Celebrating the New and Old" which is about celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of a new one. Since a young age I have always loved New Years. It is so full of promise. It's a great reminder that you can always try again, you can always do better and no matter what you can give yourself a fresh start. So this first part is mostly about 2013. What all did I do in 2013?

THE END OF 2013

I enjoyed the beauty of life and nature. These beauties were shots I took of my mothers garden in the spring.

I realized that even though the ones that we lost are no longer with us physically they will always be with us in our hearts no matter what.

Me and my husband threw a rainbow themed house warming party.

My puppy Tank's sleeping positions amused me thoroughly.

I started my business and never looked back. The paint covered dresses are from a trash the dress photo shoot.

I finally became the owner of a smart phone

I got the coolest gifts from my mother.

And found out that Fridays spent with her are always fun adventures. We went to an auction.

After tattooing an orange Tammy asked me to tattoo her even though I assured her it was a bad idea.

But she trusted me because we are best friends and there is nothing more powerful than that.

People at work never disappoint to make me laugh.

I of course got more tattoos

Found the cutest necklace for a dollar.

Tried new places such as the Bavarian Inn at Frankenmuth.

 I met a fox and a mermaid.

I tried a new restaurant, Smash Burger, I think I am in love.

I visited my father with my family and remembered the good times with him.

I spent the most agonizing day at the court house for jury selection and since most of the cases were domestic abuse I had to constantly relive my past with an abusive ex-boyfriend when asked why I could not be non-biased if chosen for the case.

I had the best Halloween in years.

I was showered with rose petals.

I was invited to an epic 2nd thanksgiving dinner thrown by Tammy.

And lastly I showed support for something that is near to my heart. Suicide has affected my life.

So now that Part 1 is coming to a close, I will see you soon for Part 2. Keep your memories close.
