A PICTURE FOR EVERY MONTH OF 2013

JANUARY- This was my first tattoo of the year and is a tribute to my friend Andra Valdez who died in 2004 from Cystic Fibrosis. She was very influential to me. She lived life to the fullest. Days that I have a dark moment or seem to loose my way I think of her and remember how even though she knew she was dying she did everything and anything she could and wasn't going to let anything keep her from enjoying what time she had.

FEBRUARY- I had wanted my septum pierced for as long as I can remember, maybe 12 or 13 years old. So in 2013 I vowed to do what I always wanted to no matter what the consequences were as long as I had the money to do it. Even though it was short lived I was so blissfully happy in this moment. It was a snowball effect, it is what led to me finally getting my puppy, my first house and starting a business.

MARCH- I was in a car accident in march and even though I was not terribly hurt Tammy sent me a beautiful flower arrangement. It was proof to me that there was such a thing as best friends caring always. She has been there for me unwavering no matter what. I love her for it. And when the opportunity to do the same for her presents itself I know I will do the same for her.

APRIL- There was a time when I thought I would never get married. Most of the guys I dated treated me horribly or it was just a toxic relationship on both sides. But when I met my husband I thought maybe I would get married. Then after my father died I gave up on any idea of getting married. I didn't want to if he couldn't be there. But when my husband proposed to me I of course said yes. In April we celebrated our first year of marriage and 7 years of being together.

MAY- Ever since I moved out of my parents house I wanted a dog. But in apartment living that is hard to do. But after our house search began Nick finally gave in to my wishes and we met our little Pembroke Welsh Corgi and named her Tank.

JUNE- After months of problems and pushing back our move in date in June we finally moved in. I was a homeowner. I will never forget moving in. I never liked apartment living and was so glad to be in a house again.

JULY- July 4th has always been a big celebration in my family, not to mention my brother James was born on this day. The love of fireworks and bonfires stretches back 3 generations. I always can look forward to a great month when July approaches.

AUGUST- By the time August rolled around I had started my business and when deciding who to involve as a partner I didn't have any reservations when it came to Tammy. She is talented on so many levels and when we decided to do a trash the dress photo shoot with Kristin she only proved it more.

SEPTEMBER- Tank teaches me something new everyday and never fails to make me laugh or smile. One day in September she came across a katydid in the back yard and amused me for a long while. She brings me a lot of happiness.

OCTOBER- This is one difficult month for me to get through the past 4 years. My father was born the 26th and he died on the 25th. I am always learning to take the bitter with the sweet. He was a great man and is always loved.

NOVEMBER- I have always been family oriented. Your family keeps you whole. Though you may not see eye to eye and fight or disagree from time to time, my family has always kept me going.

DECEMBER- I love meeting new people and having new experiences. So when a newer friend also with the name Ashley invited me to go to a wine tasting I jumped at the opportunity. I had an amazing time.
