Ipsy January 2013 Review

Hello.
Sorry it's so late but here is the review of Ipsy's January Bag:
1. Blue Bag with Star Pattern- It's cute and all but not something I would but. It isn't really my style. I do however like that Ipsy is putting patterns in the bags. I give this product a 3 out of 5.

Info cards per usual.

2. Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer in Bloody Mary- I already have a ton of red nail polish but I tried to be hopeful. But there wasn't anything to spectacular to set it apart from every other brands red. I would have liked to have gotten the Frappe. I give this product a 3 out of 5.

3. Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil- I felt like I was rubbing vegetable oil on myself. It didn't seem to do anything that I noticed. I give this product a 2 out of 5.

4. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter- I loved this. It smells so good. And it left my skin so soft. I give this product a 5 out of 5.

5. Big Sexy Hair Spray  Play Volumizing Hairspray- This stuff has an amazing hold. It will keep anything in place. It smells pretty good too. I give this product a 5 out of 5.

6. Soho "Get a Grip" Eyeliner Brush- It's a decent brush but it's a bit run of the mill. I already have a ton of these kinds of brushes. I give this product a 3 out of 5.

This wasn't my favorite bag but hey, can't love everything.

Birchbox Review: January 2013

Hello.
Well I missed this past Monday's freebie. My apologies. I am going to be doing a bunch of different things to this blog soon. But that's for another day. Lets get started with this birchbox review shall we.
The product card as usual. Nothing exciting here.

A pillow box.

This I thought was great. It folds out into a cute poster.

1. Harvey Prince Skinny Chic- I thought the name was a bit insensitive. Big girls can be chic. It smelled... ok. Nothing I was over the moon about. But it is ok, just ok. It really isn't leaving enough of an impression with me to say more. I give this product a 2 out of 5.

2. Amika Color pHerfection Shampoo- I love love love this shampoo. Although it is on the pricey end of the spectrum at $22.00 a bottle for almost 15 ounces, I think it might be worth it. It smells so great. It also left my hair so soft. I literally squeezed every last drop out of the little tube. I even put a little water in it and used a diluted version today. I think this might be one of my favorite things I have gotten from birchbox. I give this product a 5 out of 5!

3. My Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer- As far as moisturizers go this one is about as run as the mill as any others but the mattifying affect definitely makes it a front runner. It looks great under face powder. No shiny face for me today. I give this product a 4 out of 5.

4. theBalm Cosmetics Hot Mama Shadow & Blush All In One- I absolutely love theBalm. The cute packaging is always enough to get me let alone the fact that their product in general are high quality. I didn't think this worked to well as a eyeshadow on me but it looks great as a blush. I give this product a 4 out of 5.

5. Deborah Lippmann The Stripper To Go- It's a cute idea in theory to make a little mitt for your finger to remove nail polish but it isn't exactly practical. It gets the remover all over your fingers and wears out before all 10 fingers are done. Not to mention the cost is way more expensive. I give this product a 3 out of 5.

Well that is it for January's Birchbox. As far as it being the first of the year it was mostly good.

Bye.
