New shoes

I recently bought two more new pairs of shoes. I figured I could try owning shoes that were not just sneakers. I bought them from Torrid.

 Serina Purple Peep Toe Flats. I really like these and they are super comfortable to walk around in.

Black Finella Strappy Heels. I am super nervous about these. I tried them on and they are so wobbly I am terrified I am going to break something.

Make up review: A! Absolute

I bought two different 22 color palettes from A! Absolute from a beauty supply store. The colors caught my eye. So bright. I bought Gypsy and Renaissance. I should have known when I only paid $3.99 per palette that they would lack in quality. But I wanted to believe that maybe it was an awesome buy. Well my mother let me test them out on her when we were trying out make up for my wedding. It was horrid. The shadow is so crappy. It didn't go on well, or evenly no matter how hard we tried. And to make matters worse eye make up remover wouldn't take it all off. See pics below. I give this product a 0 out of 5.

June Birchbox Items Reviews

theBalm Stainiac Lip & Cheek Stain in Beauty Queen- Although I was hesitant at first due to the color, a bright red compared to the pale pinks I prefer, I liked it. It went on fairly sheer with one layer. Only a slightly darker shade than my natural lip color. It went on smooth with no steaks. I give this product a 4 out of 5.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner in Black- I loved how easy and precisely this went on. I was able to get it on perfectly in the first try. It did remind me of a sharpie. It lasted quite a while. The only issue I had with it was that it didn't come off well with just water and soap. Eye makeup remover however took it right off. I give this product a 4 out of 5.

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream- The cream literally soaked into my skin. And it didn't feel greasy at all. My biggest complaint is the smell. It reminds me of Vics Vapor rub or Carmex. And although the product claims the smell fades quickly it actually lingered for a good 30 minutes, long enough to give me a headache. I give this product a 2 out of 5.

John Varvatos Star USA- I really liked the smell. I love Men's cologne. I will give this product a 4 out of 5.

Melvita Rose Floral Water- I absolutely love the smell of roses so I thoroughly enjoyed this. I sprayed my pillows with it and I swear it made it easier to relax and sleep. I give this product a 5 out of 5.

Band-Aid Brand Bandages in Cynthia Rowley Edition- I love these. I couldn't wait for an excuse to wear them. They are so cute, and with several different designs I can see any kind of girl liking these. I give this product a 5 out of 5.

July's birch box has arrived

There are going to be several posts today. So this is the first of many. I thought this was a good place to start. I am glad to say that I now have my July birch box. I was excited about some stuff and not so much about others so I would rate this one a 3 out of 5. I like the packaging this month.

1. Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien- This doesn't really have that strong of a scent. It is supposedly citrus so you would think you'd be able to smell it but it's fairly light.

2. Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27- I am not sure if I will use this or not.

3. Color Club Blue-ming- Usually I tend to like only dark colors in my nail polishes among other things. So this one is a very pastel blue. Not particularly fond of it.

4. Stila Lip Glaze in Camera- <3 <3 <3 I love lipgloss. It goes on sheer and shimmery.

5. Tea Forte Minteas in Lime Mojito- I am really excited to try these. I will let you know if they taste any good soon.

6. Birch Box Exclusive Earbuds- I really needed these so this is great.

The Start

Where to begin? Well I guess I will start with my random rambling. I have a subscription to birch box and I am hoping I will be able to post reviews about stuff. I am currently learning to walk in high heels (which I should have done months ago so I could wear them this past April when I got married), I can already apply make up decently-ish and I have purchased a number of girlie items that I wouldn't normally buy. So I will start with a couple pics of my last few purchases. You have to start somewhere right?
